So what's in store for summer?

Blimey, second year in engineering was really a tough stage in our lives. Passing through it without any red marks on our transcripts, was easier said than done. But praise God we passed every subject! :D Gah. I was really fed up from all the stress from school. God only knows how I longed for this summer to come. And now it's here!

Six Sheldon novels, one Dan Brown’s, one Anna Quindlen’s, and two Coelho’s; plus Chuck, One Tree Hill and Prison Break. With all of these stuffs piled up for me, I wonder if summer can still bore me. Nah, I doubt it. I’ve got a whole lot of things to do to spend my two-and-a-half summer vacation. In fact, I don’t even know where to start. Talk about being busy -- busy in a very enjoyable way. Love it.

I'm gonna make sure that this summer is one of the well-spent ones. Susulitin ko talaga! So for the next two months, I'm gonna forget about school and just mind home.

Enjoy the vacation!

Goodbye PE.

Friday the 13th, March 2009
was our last PE day for the sem, and our last PE forever. I never thought that I'd be saddened by that thought knowing how much PE hates me. Well, the feeling was mutual before I met my friends and enjoyed every PE day because of their company. Though PE's always draining all our energy, it was a way for me to release my stress and just enjoy like a child. PE will always be PE.

FolkDance was my first PE in UST. It was the most disgusting PE with the most disgusting uniform ever. A lot of practices for ridiculous dances! We had to spare a monday just to practice for our practical tests. I really really hated it.

Next was volleyball. It was the first PE that I enjoyed. :) I was with my friends, playing and cheering at the beautiful field of UST under the heat of the sun. It was really fun.
The most exciting PE that I took was Softball. Our class was on Mondays, but the extra days were really worth it. All the cheers, the thrill, the bonding was something I'll never forget. I thought I'd really suck on that sport because batting and catching were something not meant for my clumsy hands. But my teammates helped me a lot. The games were at it's highest energy as always. I'd never ever forget my first homerun as a softball player. Ang saya.My last PE was Basketball. The schedule sucked. Friday, 3-5pm. So we had to wait for 3 long, hot, and sleepy hours just to play basketball. Argh. Madaming nakakainis sa PE na yun e. At first I was really sweet lemoning just to enjoy that PE. But in the end, I enjoyed it in a way.

Goodbye PE.

"Study as if you were going to live forever; live as if you were going to die tomorrow."

Yes I will! I will! I will!

I was devastated and blown away by my Calculus quiz#5 just recently. I couldn't sleep because of it. Damn. And the moment I woke up, that's what I remembered. Oh my. I was that frustrated! I reviewed for that quiz till 2am, so I thought I'll do good. And Sir told us that he's expecting a lot of u to get perfect scores because the quiz'll be easy. I don't know what had gotten into me that I was blown away by it. :(( There were a lot of erasures, a lot of confusion, and all that. I'll pass that quiz but I know my score will not be my usual. Kainis talaga.

I was also tanga in our Physics quiz#3. Why didn't I read the problem carefully?? What happened to me! Kainis! I can get a perfect score from that quiz! Pero. Pero. Kainis!

Our Comp prelims was given back to us (finally!). It was a career-low score for me. 57/100!!! NAMAN!! All of us got low scores on that. Grabe. I know I found the prelims hard, but I didn't expect that I'd get a score as low as 57. Grabe naman. I think it was only 10 of us who got a grade above the passing. Pero I don't care, coz my grade was almost pasang-awa. So my partial average in Comp is now just 62. :(

We still have one quiz to go for each of these subjects before the final exams. The bottom line-- BABAWI AKO!! This weekend, I'll be studying for Computer and Physics na. And I'll be preparing early for Calculus. Humanda ang last quizzes! Ibabawi ko talaga ang grades ko!

A lot of people's been wondering why am I so fussy about my grades, as if I'll fail. I know I won't fail. It's just that school is so important to me. It's the only place where I feel good at the things I do, and it's the only place where all my hardworks get recognized all the time. During the time when I felt very unappreciated, it was the school and my teachers who gave all the appreciation and recognition that I need to boost myself up. School is my haven, school is my comfort nook albeit the stress surrounding me there all the time.

EIGHTEEN

You know, I never knew what's exciting about turning 18. I didn't understand why my schoolmates and friends are so stoked about their debut and their 18th birthdays, coz few weeks ago, I wasn't. Few months ago, my parents asked me if I'd like to have a debut celebration and I fervently said NO. I find it useless. I don't even understand what's special about the 18th birthday of a girl. I mean, what's the difference if you turn 17 or 18?? You'll turn a year older anyway.

So, yesterday, February 17,2009, I woke up with nothing on my mind. I just told myself, "hey I'm eighteen!", then I'm off to my usual routines. Didn't even do something special about my hair! What a debutante. I said my morning and birthday prayer, then I was good to go.

I was shocked the moment I arrived at school! My friends gave me gifts! Books. Jhuli gave me a blouse. Grabe! I reckon I told them "thanks" for about twenty times that morning. Umeffort naman sila. Salamat! But the most shocking part was when I was about to go home. We were at the hardrock when they told me to sit, then they fell in line. I didn't know what was that about until they started giving me chocolates! WAHHH! Ang dami talaga! Isang plastic! It was F who planned all of it. I remember telling him ages ago that I'm addicted to chocolates. I really thanked him bigtime! I never remembered going home happier than I was yesterday. I didn't even expected to be happier that day.

But I did!!

My best friends came over to complete my birthday!!! Debbie, Eric, Ghel with Tito and Tita, Bab, Juhiro, Nina and Abby came! I wasn't even expecting all of them to come, especially Eric! He told me that he can't come because he was really dizzy due to lack of sleep. DANG!! I was shocked when I found him standing on our doorstep! I love you hever!!

It was really one of the best nights of my life. I couldn't even recall when was the last time that all of us were together, eating, laughing as hard as we can, and talking about anything under the sun. I miss the way I talk, the way I laugh, and the way I am myself whenever I am with them. I couldn't be like that whenever I'm with the others.

I feel loved, I feel valued and I feel very appreciated yesterday.God only knows that I am under a tough situation these past few weeks, and I was almost close to blogging about how I feel about being "nobody". But last night, it made all the difference in me. I realized God has blessed me with a wonderful family, wonderful friends and a blessed life! Not everyone can have friends as wonderful as mine. Not everyone can come at the dead of the night just for a friend's birthday, and my hevers are one of the few who would gladly do that.

There were no fancy dresses, no catering services, no gowns, and no celebrations on the day I turned to be a lady. But given the chance to choose between a grand celebration and another day with my beloved ones, I'd gladly choose the latter in a heartbeat. I had the best 18th birthday celebration that I dreamed of!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

IT'S MY MOM'S DAY!

My mom is celebrating her 41st birthday today! :D Happy birthday Mom! You're the best! I never thought that my momma and I will get as close as we are now. Since my first year in college, we have started talking a lot more times than we have talked for the past 16years. College is a blessing to my relationship with my mom. Now she's my best friend and I always look forward to going home for me to talk to her about anything under the sun.

Love you mom!
