I am HD

I always wanted a lot when I was younger. Clothes, expensive things, car, money and pretty pictures to brag them through. But as I get older, I realized that a day-off is the most rewarding luxury that I can ever avail for myself because time is more precious than gold. It's like fossil fuels: depleting, limited, non-renewable and expensive.

I am someone who frequently looks back on past photos and old memories. It makes me feel better to go back when things are familiar and safe; like past is a comfort zone. But I gotta let it go. Whatever familiarity the past could bring, I finally realized that things will never ever be the same as what it used to be.

Ahh, change. I have a love- hate relationship with change. I hate that it could happen so fast when it doesn't have to and when you're desperately wishing for it, you almost do not feel its arrival.

If there's one thing that I have gotten out of the film One Day, it's the sad thought of how time could outrun all of us. Even our relationship with the people we dearly love could never survive time and the change that comes with it. And if we could ever, luckily, catch up and make up for the lost time, what's left for us is never enough.

Part 1 here.

I know, I know. Your abs are better you don't have to say it. Heck there are 1000000 girls out there who've got a better body and I'm not competing with any of them.

In my past life, when I used to be a slave of food and anything edible, I embraced the fact that I will never have my flat belly back. That I'm on my way to having a muffin top, untoned thighs and triple bilbil, I accepted it. "Screw diet! I'm choosing junk food!" Yes, I worship food that much. But that was my past. I got reincarnated with a healthy lifestyle and has cut off my ties from the pig inside me. The new me believes that there's nothing wrong with eating (duh) but it has to be in moderation. Eat in proper quantity and quality.

I don't mean to say that being thin is better. It will never be. But I always say this: go for whatever makes you feel fulfilled and confident. If you're not happy, then do something about it. This post may sound vain for some, but for me it serves as a memento of a fruitful hard work. It takes a long time to see significant results, but boy it was worth the wait hard work.

When I found out that Matt Bomer is gay and can never be mine, I almost wanted to drop White Collar. And don't get me started with Tom Cruise.. And Papa P.

But with NPH, it's different. Maybe because he admitted it in an as-a-matter-of-fact way that he became more awesome than he was before. He's like, "I'm gay, so what?" He's not making a big deal out of it and he did not let his career take a turn just because he's gay. He seems happy that he still attracts a lot of women (his upper body built is to die for) and I bet he's not even trying so hard to do that. Ah, what can I say. I'm a fan.

When I am bored, it's either I watch old How I Met Your Mother or I go to Youtube and watch How I Met Your Mother. Yep. So I came across this behind-the-scenes making of the Enrique Iglesias episode from five years ago and I was surprised. Well, on the technical point, I did not expect so many rehearsals before the actual shoot. There are table read-through, rehearsal (probably for camera angles, lighting etc) and  final run-through  before the actual roll. It's taking them an entire week to finish a single 20-minute sitcom!

So that explains the acting and editing quality. And the annoying gap weeks when there are no new episodes. Now that I saw how it's done, I'm not complaining anymore haha. I love that they are taking time to deliver their lines, study the story and improve the quality of the episodes.

On a parallel note, Neil Patrick Harris delivering his Barney lines is so awesome. And how come he can wear a gray shirt like a handsome suit? Machismo.
