Heidy the Aquarius

Do you remember the pre-internet days when you used to pick up a tabloid from your father's desk and you went straight to the horoscope section full of utter bullshit from Madam Auring? Nope? You didn't do that at all? Okay fine.

Anyway, I've kept my distance from these zodiacs since then. It was only tonight that I came across some horoscope stuff and OMG these astrologists are becoming on point with their vibrations eh?

**************************

AQUARIUS

Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, humanitarian
Weaknesses: Runs from emotional expression, temperamental, uncompromising, aloof
Aquarius Likes: Fun with friends, helping others, fighting for causes, intellectual conversation, a good listener
Aquarius Dislikes: Limitations, broken promises, being lonely, dull or boring situations, people who disagree with them

*************************

Aquarius-born are shy and quiet (not at all) , but on the other hand they can be eccentric and energetic. However, in both cases, they are deep thinkers and highly intellectual people who love helping others. They are able to see without prejudice, on both sides, which makes them people who can easily solve problems (Jay said that I have this habit of solving problems that aren't even my own; say world poverty or Brisbane traffic). Although they can easily adapt to the energy that surrounds them, Aquarius-born have a deep need to be some time alone and away from everything, in order to restore power.

People born under the Aquarius sign, look at the world as a place full of possibilities (I wonder when and where will we settle down? Le sigh). Aquarius is an air sign, and as such, uses his mind at every opportunity.  If there is no mental stimulation, they are bored and lack a motivation to achieve the best result.

The ruling planet of Aquarius, Uranus has a timid, abrupt and sometimes aggressive nature, but it also gives Aquarius visionary quality. They are capable of perceiving the future and they know exactly what they want to be doing five or ten years from now. Uranus also gave them the power of quick and easy transformation, so they are known as thinkers, progressives and humanists. They feel good in a group or a community, so they constantly strive to be surrounded by other people (really Zodiac, I don't need a reminder that I'm currently living in a country with a size of Europe and only having a quarter of the population of Philippines).

The biggest problem for Aquarius-born is the feeling that they are limited or constrained. Because of the desire for freedom and equality for all, they will always strive to ensure freedom of speech and movement. Aquarius-born have a reputation for being cold and insensitive persons, but this is just their defence mechanism against premature intimacy. They need to learn to trust others and express their emotions in a healthy way.

Not really passionate into this clairvoyant stuff but it was fun. Haha

Quick Post!

Hello from the dead! I know I haven't been blogging decently for ages already. I just started working (first job!) last February hence the big adjustment. Plus, my life is shifting to directions that I am finding hard to control. Hay, growing up. Y u so hard.

Anyway, just some pics to keep this updated.

Eric, Bij, Yna and Carlo. Super clingy friends! Been hanging out with them a lot since January!

Welcome to the Catholic world, Seph! Haha.

Spent the Maundy Thursday watching movies at Vin's place. Happy Holy Week from us. Haha.

Some girl bonding over their summer break. Happy graduation, Deb!

Yep that's it. My life's pretty boring and uneventful lately. Maybe because I'm still adjusting? Or I just don't want to try something new? Haha. Damn it. Laters, bye!

Time and Other Things

I always wanted a lot when I was younger. Clothes, expensive things, car, money and pretty pictures to brag them through. But as I get older, I realized that a day-off is the most rewarding luxury that I can ever avail for myself because time is more precious than gold. It's like fossil fuels: depleting, limited, non-renewable and expensive.

If all men are gay like NPH, I wouldn't mind

When I found out that Matt Bomer is gay and can never be mine, I almost wanted to drop White Collar. And don't get me started with Tom Cruise.. And Papa P.

But with NPH, it's different. Maybe because he admitted it in an as-a-matter-of-fact way that he became more awesome than he was before. He's like, "I'm gay, so what?" He's not making a big deal out of it and he did not let his career take a turn just because he's gay. He seems happy that he still attracts a lot of women (his upper body built is to die for) and I bet he's not even trying so hard to do that. Ah, what can I say. I'm a fan.

So this is how they do a sitcom

When I am bored, it's either I watch old How I Met Your Mother or I go to Youtube and watch How I Met Your Mother. Yep. So I came across this behind-the-scenes making of the Enrique Iglesias episode from five years ago and I was surprised. Well, on the technical point, I did not expect so many rehearsals before the actual shoot. There are table read-through, rehearsal (probably for camera angles, lighting etc) and  final run-through  before the actual roll. It's taking them an entire week to finish a single 20-minute sitcom!

So that explains the acting and editing quality. And the annoying gap weeks when there are no new episodes. Now that I saw how it's done, I'm not complaining anymore haha. I love that they are taking time to deliver their lines, study the story and improve the quality of the episodes.

On a parallel note, Neil Patrick Harris delivering his Barney lines is so awesome. And how come he can wear a gray shirt like a handsome suit? Machismo.

My Longest Encounter with the Sun

That is me with an I-beg-you-please-extend-my-vacation face. Why do vacations seem to be more fun when its almost over? Le sigh.

We Are Young.

Aaaah... Thesis.  After three sems and a summer of sticking with century egg and polyaniline,  it's now defense time. Went good and smooth baby. I felt satisfied with it.

Ever since I was a kid, it's always a dream for me to put on those dangerous skating shoes and glide on ice like a pro. So thanks to my buddy, Vaughn, I experienced ice skating already! Haha. Now I know that it really takes a lot of blisters to be good in this sport. God, my butt still hurts right now. But really, I want to try it again :-)

Five dudes and a girl + One night + One place. = Fun + security guard telling us to stop singing, shut up and sleep.

Plans for the summer

We are now officially cleared from all our third year requirements, and personally the clearance day marks the official start of my summer break. The freedom from all the school-related stuffs and welcoming the fact that we're incoming fourth year students already makes me really happy. :D

It's gonna be another two months of physical and mental break. I should really make the most out of it. So what do I do?

1. Watch
Series like Chuck, Gossip Girl, Prison Break, The Mentalist, Lost, 30Rock and Glee. Old flicks like The Terminal, Catch Me if You Can, Saving Private Ryan, and Armageddon. Latest and not-so-latest flicks like 21, Body of Lies, Shutter Island, The Road and Date Movie

2. Read
I have a lot of books waiting in line for me to read. But I dunno, I am really not in the mood to read books right now. Err.

3. Sleep early.
The current state of my face right now is really alarming and isn't getting any better. I keep on complaining about it, but then I realized that staying awake till late at night will make just make it worse. I better sleep early lik'a baby!

4. Anything other than madly surfing and lurking on the net all day and night.

Pinaghirapan, iniyakan at pinagpuyatan ko ang summer na to. Kaya hindi ko dapat sayangin. Should have nothing but plain laziness, rest and fun! :)

Goodbye EE! I won't miss you!

We all thought that Chemlab is all just about colorful chemicals and fun -- but we are all wrong. Because receiving a 2.5 will never be fun. I cannot believe that my lowest grade is from a lab class. Err. But still I am soo thankful! Nakahinga na ng maluwag! I passed everything and got grades higher than I expected and computed. Hehe. And my! Tapos na ang EE!! I won't have to see those awful electric circuits again! Can't believe I am this relieved! Haaay.

So sem's over. Gosh I can't tell you how much I missed reading! It feels like I am suddenly eating burgers and pizzas after months of eating pure vegetables. Yeah my metaphor is awful but it really is something like that. I have finished reading Nothing Lasts Forever, by Sidney Sheldon and The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks in two days. That's how badly I missed reading. Hehe.

Anyway I've got to go. Rather than waste my time here, I've got a sembreak to enjoy. Bye, take care pips.

P.S. I love fisheye. :D

Time to unwind!

Yeah. Our prelims was so stressful and so tiring that's why our block decided to have an outing as a way to unwind and bond. But it's not really an "outing" for me because it was in Kalugdan Resort, Ligas Bacoor, Cavite. Ang layo noh? Haha. Well I should be thankful anyhow because I wouldnt've been there if they went some far place else. As if my parents will allow me to swim anywhere further.

So it was last Thursay, August 20 '09 when all these happened.

Started the night by eating and taking pictures. The food was delicious! Thanks to Jepay for all the preparations!

Jump shots, horror shots and whatever-you-call shots. There're a lot of scandalous shots taken. It took me all the energy to muster so that I wouldn't post them here lest I'm dead the next moment I meet Tom. Hehe.

The guys were drinking a lot that night so most of them were knocked out before dawn. They don't even know what their talking about. "Don't naked me!" "Don't shackle me!" "Sino lasheng?" Haha! Dang! It was my first time to talk to drunk men.
Well, I have a picture looking drunk (and molested. HAHA) because I accidentally fell asleep. But believe me, I was alcohol-free that time. I was the good girl in the group kasi hindi ako umiinom e. Hihi.

Packed up at 5am and went home by 6am. Honestly I barely have no idea until now how the drunken guys manage their way home.

It was a very different and new experience for me. The next time I'll be part of one,I wish I'm with the 2-3 friends :-)

ALL THE SUPERS.

I have been surfing the net all day. I've not updated myself with what's new for more than a week already. I've been exploring all these sites and I found these:

1. Super cool and super good shots! It caught my eye and I fell in love with it at a heartbeat.

I wish I can do these jumpshots! :-)
back flip Pictures, Images and Photosphotography Pictures, Images and Photos

Dont you think fisheye rocks?
fisheye lense Pictures, Images and Photos

I don't know how photographers call this kind of technique. Making the photo look old. Whatever that is. It's beautiful!
physco Pictures, Images and Photos

Copyright belongs to all the super talented photographers in Photobucket. Click on the pictures to see more of their shots.

2. Ze supermodels!

Agyness Deyn, Giselle Bundchen and Heidi Klum. I'm not a fan of their waifish figure. But I love the way they carry it as if it's the best type of figure in the world (though it's really not.)

P.S. Old theme. New header. New width. Some new colors.

RANDOM WHEN RAINING.

It's been raining a lot. I love it. I've been sleeping all day! Saraaaaaap! Hehe. But where's my mom? I'm all alone here at home. So much stuffs to do. I have to study for EE and Mech. Gaaahh, Circuits!! It is such a pain in the ass. I wish this will be the last time we'll have that subject. It's so difficult that I admire those EE majors for sticking to it. Oh, my dad is an EE too! So I also admire him. Hehe.

So much for this. Gotta study. Baboo.

Summer Kind of Wonderful

Ghel's family invited Jei and I for an overnight stay in La Virginia Resort in Lipa, Batangas last week. I was really skeptical if my parents will allow me there. I guess they considered the fact that I'm not just going with some friends, but with Ghel's family too so they allowed me. It was my first overnight plus out-of-town swimming experience. As in first! Haha.

The place is really beautiful!!! We spent more time taking pictures with the scenery rather than swimming. Haha. Look at our pictures, parang napilitan lang kami magswimming. Haha.

Then we went to Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club (Tita Gina's officemate toured us there) which is really classy and beautiful! Orchard, panis!! Haha. Ganda talaga. Then Tita's officemate took us in their Casa de Segunda. The moment we saw the ancient house, I was just kidding when I said that we're off for an educational trip, but it turned out that I was true. The house was the house of Segunda Katigbak, Rizal's first love. Shocking, right.

I am so proud of my shots. They are really m-shots! Haha. Ghel and Jei had trouble choosing what pictures to upload in their Facebook and Friendster accounts, coz you know, my shots are really beautiful. Hahaha. Kidding.

Lezz do thiz again! ;)

FRESH FROM STRESS

I’ve been trying to post something worth reading for the past few days. I would always post something then delete it eventually. I dunno. I wasn’t in the mood.

But now I’m feeling madaldal and I want to share and siphon a lot of things. Go go go.

CCP over.
I posted something about it last night. But I realized it was awful like a trash so I deleted it this morning. Hehe.

We’re done with Calculus, Computer and Physics last week. The exams were not horribly hard. I did well except on Comp. I have no idea how to program deviation! Golly. Why didn’t they tell us about that?? Physics was also fine, thank you. But English wasn’t. We all looked over the possibility that English will be a hard test. We all concentrated on studying for Physics so we were not able to study for English. I was devastated with that test. Blown off. :(( I’ll definitely make bawi in Finals. If I have to suck up, I will. Haha kidding. Well, our prof told us that there is no way that we will fail that course if we come to her class regularly and if we do well in public speaking; so no need to fuss.

Sarado ang daan.
There was a “karakol” held this day. I think it’s kind of a parade for the Sto. Nino. I don’t know what’s special about that that they have to close the street from Zapote to Bayanan just because of that parade. So I was not able to come to church since the jeeps are not allowed to enter San Nicolas. Golly. I’ll go next week. Definitely.

A long overdue rest.
CCP drained me last week. You have no idea how eager I was while I looked forward for this day last week. Grabe. I’ve never been so eager for a Sunday than last week--so I bed-rested. May sakit?? Hahaha. I slept and slept then watched TV for the whole day. I didn’t even bother to eat.

Miss Music
Seems like forever since I last listened to music. Yuck. So I am now. I told you I’ll relax myself to the fullest.

My feel-good-and-relax playlist:
1. Make it Mine (Jason Mraz)
2. Better together (Jack Johnson)
3. Lovebug (Jonas Brothers)
4. How deep is your love (Bee Gees)
5. I wanna love you (Bob Marley)
6. On my way & Passenger Seat (Stephen Speaks)
7. Shy that way (Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman)
8. One look (Kjwan)
9. Falling in love in a coffee shop (Landon Pigg)
10. If I never see your face again(Maroon 5)
11. King of wishful thinking (Go West)
12. Taylor-Swift songs

//btw, watch Across The Universe! Coz I will. Hehe.

Diet starts now.
I can’t study if I’m not eating. I studied the whole week, so just imagine how many calories I deposited in my body without even using it. So that’s equals to FATS. Awwww. So I’m gonna lose it off. I will. I will. I will.

November 1, 2008

Nov.1 mumblings

All Saints' Day is just an ordinary day for our family. We don't do what most of the people do. We just visit the cemetery, have a little get together, eat lots of foods, and then we'll go home. No more traditions or rituals, since we're not Catholics.

Well, November 1 is a little bit different for me.

  • I had a very scary dream last night. (Seems that my dream is going with what's in. Hehe)
  • The moment I rose from my bed, my monthly period came. T'was painful. :(
  • At last, I finally watched Pursuit of Happyness! I decided to watch it a while ago. Siztur was right. The movie was depressing. It was a sad movie after all. Will Smith did a very great job in making the audience capture the character's emotions. He is really a very brilliant actor. Love him! :D
  • I didn't get to eat much since I have no appetite having this red monthly visit.
  • Dang dysmenorhea! (I think I spelled it wrongly.) My body was twitching all over this afternoon! I was almost into tears because of the pain. Huhu. Thanks to my Lola she took care of me.
  • After resting, we dropped by the cemetery to eat with and visit my alive relatives. It's nice to meet them all again.

I am now feeling the urge to watch more movies. How stupid of me. I've been so lazy to watch anything for the whole sembreak until now that I've only got 2days before classes resume. Tsssk. Okay I may watch another Will Smith's or Adam Sandler's tonight before I go to sleep. Hmm how about "Longest Yard"? I've heard it's great.

Anyway. I miss my long hair.

I miss the days that my hair is still silky straight, and is halfway to my waist. I'm really malikot when it comes to my hair. Whenever I feel bored about myself, all I want to do is get a haircut. Haha. I already had 3 haircuts since summer 2008. Hehe. But I'm already trying to control my impulse since I want my hair to be long again. I said to myself that I won't get a haircut till my birthday comes. That's the only time that I'll get a trim. Trim only. Hehe. :P

extra: Friendster rants.
I feel bad about Friendster. I hate it. It's so lame and it's cheap. I mean, all you can do there is post pictures and comments. The bulletin board has lost its purpose. It now serves as an extension for narcissism of the authors. A lot of the bulletins there are just surveys, and as far as I've noticed it's just being used as "parinig" or "pangyabang". And if you're fishing for compliments, all you have to do is post a pretty picture of yourself and post a bulletin so that you can get people's attention. Yeah I know, it sucks. I already canceled it. Yes.

I finally waved 'buh-bye' to my oldest social network account. That account had been there for 4 years already. It made me more for 4 long years"usisera". Tsk. But I turned my back on it already. Friendster is so highscool. I need to grow up. I should quit viewing profiles of other people and get news about them through reading comments given to them. I feel so gossipy when I read the comments that are never mine --though it's publicly posted for everybody's gossip pleasures. Sa wakas. Buhbye Friendster.

stuck-up brain

This is what I hate every vacation: Learning less. not only the bookish and academic learnings, but even the practical ones. i dunno, but my brain seems to function slow during vacation. i couldn't even understand a simple statement! damn. and my logic seemed to go down the acceptable level. namahinga ang utak ko! haha.

i still have roughly two weeks to exercise my brain and get back its normal comprehension rate.

i should:

refrain from surfing the net that much.
read some levelheaded books. (suggest some, please?)
exercise my logic. (deb, i am begging you. help!) haha.
