A blog can serve as an evidence of your growth (positive/negative direction). While I was looking at my posts back in 2007 I felt a mixed feeling of embarrassment (poor and very baduy writing), nostalgia (so this was how I write when I was sixteen) and pride (I am 21 and I still blog) haha. I know I can't keep up with my blog like before but hey it's so hard to maintain! I wish to keep blogging more often while reviewing for the board exam; hope to have a lot to write about. I want to make my posts more personal; journal-ish.

Net Life

Before the rise of unlimited internet surfing, do you remember what used to eat up your time? Ako hindi na.

Well, as you can see, I am a self-confessed internet junkee. And here are the sites that save my boredom every summer, hogs my free time (and study time) every semester and waste my time altogether. It’s fun, nevertheless.

1. Facebook – Of course. It’s the Social Network. I love that it’s keeping me connected to my friends and family. But I hate that it has become a flirting and gossiping platform. A short “Hi!” from someone you barely know on chat and you’re free to flirt already. Err.

2. Twitter –As they say, Facebook is for your friends. But Twitter is for the people you wish you were friends with. Stalking platform, yes you read my mind.

3. E! – This girl’s gotta keep up with what’s happening to Hollywood. Who knows, Will Smith might do a movie again. Imagine the horror if I’m not the first to know about that.

4. Sea of Shoes and The Golden Diamonds – A little exposure to fashion, here and there.

5. 9gag, College Problems and FML – Just plain funny. In my opinion, showing your humour through pictures and limited words is more challenging than saying it in front of people. But of course, there’s the sad fact of misunderstood sarcasm.

Seems like life is unimaginable without the Internet, eh? 

Blogging commitment= fail

WOW. So it was more than a month ago when I promised to write a weekly review of stuffs, eh? I must be very forgetful. I've been very very busy for the past few weeks that I don't have time to write anything here because blimey I am writing a lot! Well those lot came from thesis and other school related papers that are squeezing all the English left of me. I'm kinda drained you know. Oh well. I'll get back on track once the sem's over. Pencomplex on hibernation! Bye!

RANDOM WHEN RAINING.

It's been raining a lot. I love it. I've been sleeping all day! Saraaaaaap! Hehe. But where's my mom? I'm all alone here at home. So much stuffs to do. I have to study for EE and Mech. Gaaahh, Circuits!! It is such a pain in the ass. I wish this will be the last time we'll have that subject. It's so difficult that I admire those EE majors for sticking to it. Oh, my dad is an EE too! So I also admire him. Hehe.

So much for this. Gotta study. Baboo.

I love:

1. Boston, Massachusetts

I am definite and sure about my plan to live in another country and explore it, and I always ask myself, "Where to?". People are drooling over Europe, but I don't think Europe would've wanted to adopt me. Then pop!! BOSTON! The home of the best schools in United States like Harvard and MIT, with easy access to the other Ivy League schools, it's the perfect place for me if I want to explore the Athens of this era. So professional, sophisticated and a really good place to exercise independence. I am not gonna stop living until I finally get to live in that place.

2. Dwight Howard

I've just started watching NBA for the first time this summer and I totally fell in love with Dwight Howard. He's no Kobe or Lebron when it comes to talent. My friends told me he started improving just recently, but who cares? At least I don't. I don't know him personally but the character he shows whenever he plays is something I admire.

3. Grey's Anatomy

I was switching channels searching for some nice shows when I saw Grey's Anatomy being aired in Star World. I have no idea what season was that. I just watched it since I was bored anyway. And I can say that I enjoyed it.

4. Book shopping --- I WISH.


Something caught my attention at the bookstore and made me gape at it from where I was standing. There were so many new books! The last time I shopped for books was last March, and I have not even window-shopped for new ones since then. That's why I was really shocked to see all the new books available! Unfortunately, I ended my day eying all these books because I don't have the money. But I promise to buy them all to satisfy my lifelong book obsession. I am a sucker for books and everyone knows that.


I hate:

1. Pinoy action movies

I support Filipino movies but the way we do our action flicks is something I can never be proud of. Why is the climax, the most exciting part of every movie, is always done in an abandoned, dirty and dark warehouse? Why are the car-chasing scenes are always done in almost-empty roads and the characters are riding almost-junk cars? When in the history have we seen James Bond or Ethan Hunt riding a rusty old car in their flicks? Never! I know we couldn't afford MB's, but how about at least a Civic? And how about this time, they start thinking about high-quality films?

2. Changing URL
From dyhei to pencomplex sounds just one click away, but it's not! I tried more than twenty possible names but they are all taken. What's more annoying is that the blogs who have taken my desired usernames are either empty or not updated anymore! It's like they made the blog out of impulse. I think Blogger should delete those!! Geez, I could've believed that Blogger is playing tricks on me.Grrr.

Hahaha! A very lame reason, I know. I used to blog in Multiply, but I transferred here because I want a blog that has an archive index list. Haha! Mababaw e. Sorry naman! After sometime, I want my archive index to be a fooooooot long!! :D

My hevers' blogs are here too, and it's sort of a form of communication for us. FYI, it was Debb who encouraged me to sign up here. Thanks to her! Then I forced Eric to blog here too. Haha! I am the one who edits his html and everything because he's one lazy guy when it comes to that. No hyperlinks because we are very private bloggers. We don't promote our blogs. Haha! Arte lang ;P

3. bianca gonzales

I admire her for sticking to her site for almost six years already! I'm an impulsive blogger so I tend to sign up to different blog hosts and transfer every now and then. This is my 4th blog (from blog.com to wordpress to i.ph then here) site already and when I saw Bianca's site and I told myself I'm not gonna transfer and cancel this blog anymore like I used to, wayback.

4. html

It's one of the very few blog sites that offers html-editing feature. Plus it's really really easy to edit. I learned a lot from editing this site every now and then.


5. just because..

I love blogging, writing, composing or whatever you call it. As long as it's in a form of writing down my thoughts, I'm into it! Ever since I was a child, I was already into writing down my feelings or anything under the sun. Howd'you call it? A born-blogger? Haha! Corny.

I'm trying to be more active here than in my tumblr. Plus I'm trying to say a lot here. Pansin niyo ang daldal ko? Haha! Pangpahaba lang ng blog and to make it more worth reading. I know you're sick of my randomness. But I'm trying, you know. Hehe.

You know..

When it's really really painful, that's the time I can't talk about it. I am usually comfortable sharing my problems to my close friends or to my mom but then I realized that when it's damn out-and-out painful, I can't even say nor write it. Oh well, that's too bad.

On the other hand. Hey, did you guys watch the Pacquiao-Hatton fight? Oh, I know you did. Hehe. It's too short! I want more action! Too bad, Pacquiao's so strong and Hatton's too weak. :P

Parang ang dami kong pwedeng gawin pero hindi ko alam kung ano uunahin. Haha. I've read Angels and Demons just recently and I can say that I'm really impressed with the novel. Liked it! I'm reading Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon now. But I'm making very little progress because I watch movies and surf the net too. BUSY. Hihi.

The faculty of engineering had its annual parade for the opening of our Eng Week. I'm not proud of our college week. It's the most boring and the most "so-whatever" of all college weeks. Engineers do lack the sense of creativity, excitement and time for non-academic events. :P

Gossip Girl ang theme ng tambay session namin this Friday, coz Friday is PE day. We have to wait for three long hours just for our PE. :( Here's a shocker! I did great on our shooting test!! 3/3 sa free throw shot! That's worth 15 points! My total score was 33, and our highest was 37. I'm second to the highest! :D :D

I came across a very pretty blog in tumblr. I decided na gayahin ang concept(concept lang! :P)nya, so eto na! New layout!! It's the best layout I ever made. As in made made, coz I made it out from scratch. Minima was my base template. I'm getting better at this, you know. Hehe.

Wow. I am blogging via Microsoft Word 2007. I didn't know that I could directly post blog via Word. Nice one technology. At least I don't have to sign in and open Firefox every time I wanna blog. Hmmm. Maybe there is a feature here that can generate html and all that? Gotta discover.

You know what!?? I am reviewing for Filipino and Psychology right now and, gosh, memorizing is a pain in my arse! My memorization skills is getting worse as I stay longer in Engineering Grabe. Too much numbers dominated my memory. Hurr.

Okay whatever. I'm just adding word count. Hehe

A cute and light movie. Hehe. Like it. Suits my mood. The guy is soooooo cute and so bait. Hay. When will I ever meet someone like the guys in my fantasies? Well. Fantasies are just fantasies.

Signed up in Tumblr. I like it there. It's so neat, simple and fast. It's perfect for hosting a blog for just random posts. Hehe.

New layout. I just chose from the available templates in Blogger. I don't really like it. But I don't like my old layout. But(so many but's hehe) I am kinda lazy and tired to make one too. Meebe after the prelims.

I'll be very busy in the next two weeks. The prelims is moved to thurs-sat then tues-wed of the following week. They spreaded it all over January. Haha. :P

EDIT:
I saw Valerie(from PBB Teens) in our building last Thursday. We were near the restroom when we saw her talking to her friend. She. is. so. pretty. Her face is far from what we see on tv. She's waaaaay prettier! Her lips is not the very full one like when she's on tv. Her face is smaller too! She's really like a doll. Now I understand why a lot of the PBB boys fancy her.

I saw Jong too!! Nothing has changed. Haha. He's still the kenkoy guy I used to know. He's going back to Sweden this Sunday. :( But atleast I had the chance to meet him before he leaves again. I missed that nigga! Oh and btw, his skin tone lightened (a bit. just a little bit) Maybe you won't notice it if you didn't know that he stayed somewhere cold for the past months. Hehe. I told him to show up to me on his 10th visit in the RP and we'll compare our colors again.

Nov.1 mumblings

All Saints' Day is just an ordinary day for our family. We don't do what most of the people do. We just visit the cemetery, have a little get together, eat lots of foods, and then we'll go home. No more traditions or rituals, since we're not Catholics.

Well, November 1 is a little bit different for me.

• I had a very scary dream last night. (Seems that my dream is going with what's in. Hehe)
• The moment I rose from my bed, my monthly period came. T'was painful. :(

• At last, I finally watched Pursuit of Happyness! I decided to watch it a while ago. Siztur was right. The movie was depressing. It was a sad movie after all. Will Smith did a very great job in making the audience capture the character's emotions. He is really a very brilliant actor. Love him! :D

• I didn't get to eat much since I have no appetite having this red monthly visit.

• Dang dysmenorhea! (I think I spelled it wrongly.) My body was twitching all over this afternoon! I was almost into tears because of the pain. Huhu. Thanks to my Lola she took care of me.
• After resting, we dropped by the cemetery to eat with and visit my alive relatives. It's nice to meet them all again.

I am now feeling the urge to watch more movies. How stupid of me. I've been so lazy to watch anything for the whole sembreak until now that I've only got 2days before classes resume. Tsssk. Okay I may watch another Will Smith's or Adam Sandler's tonight before I go to sleep. Hmm how about "Longest Yard"? I've heard it's great.

Anyway. I miss my long hair.

I miss the days that my hair is still silky straight, and is halfway to my waist. I'm really malikot when it comes to my hair. Whenever I feel bored about myself, all I want to do is get a haircut. Haha. I already had 3 haircuts since summer 2008. Hehe. But I'm already trying to control my impulse since I want my hair to be long again. I said to myself that I won't get a haircut till my birthday comes. That's the only time that I'll get a trim. Trim only. Hehe. :P

extra: Friendster rants.
I feel bad about Friendster. I hate it. It's so lame and it's cheap. I mean, all you can do there is post pictures and comments. The bulletin board has lost its purpose. It now serves as an extension for narcissism of the authors. A lot of the bulletins there are just surveys, and as far as I've noticed it's just being used as "parinig" or "pangyabang". And if you're fishing for compliments, all you have to do is post a pretty picture of yourself and post a bulletin so that you can get people's attention. Yeah I know, it sucks. I already canceled it. Yes.

I finally waved 'buh-bye' to my oldest social network account. That account had been there for 4 years already. It made me more for 4 long years"usisera". Tsk. But I turned my back on it already. Friendster is so highscool. I need to grow up. I should quit viewing profiles of other people and get news about them through reading comments given to them. I feel so gossipy when I read the comments that are never mine --though it's publicly posted for everybody's gossip pleasures. Sa wakas. Buhbye Friendster.
