There are aspects in our lives that we are aware of. We know their existence. But once asked about it, we just don't know what to say.
I was with my old friends a while ago. Some of them, I have not seen for years. In reference to One More Chance, mga lumang tao sa buhay ko -- it's them. I always feel most comfortable with their company. And the fact that I have not seen them for the longest time made them ask a lot of questions about me. And boy, I don't know the answers too.
What I realized was: I talk a lot about my life yet say very little. I am close to a lot of people yet set the distance. I have built a wall so strong and so tall that nobody can penetrate. Without my knowledge and not to my liking, it just happened.

I've been very very busy for the past few weeks that I don't have time to write anything here because blimey I am writing a lot! Well those lot came from thesis and other school related papers that are squeezing all the English left of me. I'm kinda drained you know. Oh well. I'll get back on track once the sem's over. Pencomplex on hibernation! Bye!

Time out.
"Five years ago, I never thought I'll be dealing with batch reactors and all the unit operations stuff when I wrote 'BS Chemical Engineering' in my application form."
Yes friends. I am quoting myself.
I promised myself not to write anything about my school problems here in this blog because I feel that its useless. But I realized that school's really a big part of my life. 90% of what I am doing every single day is because of school. So how about I share a bit of the life that I'm talking about? It's a long winding road to the bottom line, alright?
Years ago, when I was just choosing my course, all that ever came to my mind is to take up Engineering. Then my teachers and friends would ask "What field?" then I would always say "I still don't know. Any field as long as its Engineering." See, I always wanted to become an engineer, just like my father. My father had nothing and everything to do with my choice. Following his footsteps and being pressured by my family surely did not happen. But seeing him doing all the engineer stuff made me like it. When you are an engineer, you have to know everything down to the very last detail. Precision and accuracy matters. I saw that in my father's profession, and I fell in love with it.
My first half in college was not so smooth-flowing, but it was the easiest. Easiest in a way that I was never bothered of the path that I took. All I had to study were Math stuffs and some programming and I seriously enjoyed it.
Halftime made me realize that I am majoring the right course. None of the other majors would ever work for me and my interests (Duh, EE!).
It's now the second half of my journey. It barely even started but I'm already tired. Honestly. I'm gonna kill myself for having to admit this, but right now I'm not happy with my major. Period. I could see the end of the road but I can't see myself at the other side. Now that I'm having the glimpse of what it's like to be in the real world, I doubt that I'd like to do any of the job descriptions that a chemical engineer does. Maybe that's one major reason why I loosened up this semester (yeah my grades got wounded because of that). Add the fact that what used to be the working proportionality of my labor(the amount of my study time is directly proportional to the amount of points I get) isn't working anymore.
It's just losing the mojo. It's just a cool off. I just need a timeout. I always say these things to myself. Deep inside, I know that this is for me. That nothing else will ever work for me but this. There's no turning back. I just have to find my happy place in my chosen road.

Who am I.
Have you ever experienced a time when you tried to pause everything and suddenly thought "What on earth happened to me?" You tried to look back to your past life and everything's changed. You don't know yourself anymore. I dunno if it's part of the making-the-most-out-of-your-teenage-life stage but one thing's for sure: I'm different than before. I'm not sure I'm liking it.

ROTW: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Actually, I don’t know if any of you knows what I’ll be blabbering about, but what the hell.
Actually, I don’t know if any of you knows what I’ll be blabbering about, but what the hell.
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho is a new drama of the famous Hong Sisters (they are the writers of My Girl and You’re Beautiful) which just aired last August 11. It stars Lee Seung Gi, of Shining Inheritance, and Shin Min ah.
It is a story about a guy (a beta-male, clumsy and dumb guy he is) who accidentally frees a nine-tailed fox also called as a gumiho, who’s been locked in a painting for 500 years. When he was dying because he fell from a cliff, the gumiho gives her bead (kinda like the source of her powers) to heal the guy. However, the doctor’s fee has to cost him a lot of cow’s meat and patience because the gumiho, having given to him the source of her powers, has to stick with him all.the.time. And so the journey starts. ;)
I love this drama because the story is so fresh! Too cute for words, actually. It’s only once in a blue moon that beta-male leads the story because it’s always the cold and mysterious who’s winning everybody’s hearts. Ehem. I seriously am thanking everyone involved for not casting Sandara Park for the role. Shin Min Ah is so perfect in portraying the gumiho that I am thinking that it's her past life. That adorable fox makes me giggle all the time. Tee hee.
You might have noticed that I watch a number of Korean dramas. It’s because I’m a sucker for the cute and Korean romcoms give all the cute that I need. There’s always a fresh and very light story ahead, comic relief and less angst. It’s enough to make my day.
