"Really Jeff, how many's enough?" -Sandra Bullock

That I kept asking myself.
How much do I have to give so that I can say that I've done all right?
When can my heart sing, I did my best and my best is good enough..?

A BV Saturday

"Don’t allow your wounds to transform you into someone you are not." - Paulo Coelho
My recent thoughts keep on running on the same line. This quote keeps on popping on my mind whenever I self-check and self-assess on my everyday interactions with people. Clearly, wounds and past pains can do a lot to a person's future. Not financially or anything.. but something deep. Deep inside a hurt and scarred person, there lies caution and fright to the future. These are manageable, but the pain it had caused is not. It is lasting. It can change a person. Tested and proven.

I know. It's a very vague post.

Zup, March!

Grabbed from Dr. Philipina Marcelo's picasa album ;) Some pics during my always talked-about event.  InnoVision: The 2011 UST Chemical Engineering-Rebisco Product Innovation Challenge + Mini Expo. Held last February 23-24, 2011 at the Roque Ruano Building quadrangle.
As I told Maam Philip, it was the best stress ever. Grabe lang. Bago palang maapprove ung product namin last December, butas ng karayom na. And then came the making of the elusive perfect-textured prototype! These series of phrases keep ringing on my mind for the last two months:
May insolubles o wala? Dissolved ung starch o hindi? Oven-dry or deep-fry? Try kaya natin may egg.. Try kaya natin dagdagan to, tapos bawasan yan? Bakit hindi elastic! Guys nagbe-break! May aftertaste sya.. Durog agad ung noodles! Crumbly yung dough.. Ayaw maflat, ayaw mastretch. Parang buhangin ung insolubles. Bili tayo ng xanthan gum, PhP715 for every 220 grams..
I know. Eyebags, right?

Oh, IP Lab. You gave me the drama that I never asked for.

****
And then some good stuffs.

We were scheduled to have a quiz in Thermo yesterday at 5 to 7PM. But funny you'd think that almost half of the other section called in sick during the weekend (ehem, IP Lab!) so my professor kindly moved the exam. And then there's a supposed makeup class for MatSci today at 7-10AM plus a quiz this afternoon, but lucky you'd say that my prof texted me this dawn to tell that everything is moved. Ha.

Last minute moving of everything I have prepared for is my pet peeve. But this time is different simply because I was not prepared. Ha. I was so lazy during the weekend because I was so desperate to get a whole weekend back after the whole IP Lab experience. The only thing I was peeved about is the damn-I-slept-late-for-nothing thought that keeps nudging my sleep-deprived head. I admit I was too lazy to study, but I tried and forced myself, you know. The thought pains my butt.. and my head.

Which means.. I have no reason to screw my MatSci and Thermo quiz this week.

Quick Post

School is supposed to keep students busy. Or else, why go to school? But then, it gets busier every semester that I am always surprised that I have time for all of these. One long written report, two oral presentations, a two-day expo to organize, quizzes to prepare for and a product to improve and mass-produce. All of these are fairly distributed on the next two weeks to come.

God knows I have been so busy. From the moment that 2011 ticked in, this product innovation challenge has been taking our Mondays, afternoons, nights, energy, our Quadri and Engg week and the most painful of all -- our moolah. Plus I, along with three other batchmates, organized a field trip that happened two weeks ago. I won't go down the bitter details but it was the most horrible experience in my entire student life. Really. And because of that field trip, I am here making an extensive fifteen-page reaction paper that most probably will be made to completion by Mr.Google. This paper is due next week, along with two three-hour quizzes and an oral report. Kill me.

I'm sorry I'm just rambling.
